When Turkish Jews returned to Israel, they brought their culinary traditions with them. Malabi is a hugely popular, delicious milk-based dessert that is Turkish in origin and one of the beautiful culinary intersections created by the Jewish people returning to their ancestral home!
Ingredients
Israeli Malabi Dessert Mix
2 Tsp
Cold whole milk
2 Cup
Rose Water
optional
Vanilla extract
optional
Pistachio nuts
optional
Instructions
Step 1
Add 2 cups of cold whole milk and 2 teaspoons of Israeli Malabi Dessert Mix and mix well until the sugar dissolves and you form a smooth texture.
Step 2
Cook over low heat, constantly stirring, until uniformly smooth.
Step 3
Pour into serving bowls and cool in the fridge for 4 -5 hours.
Step 4
Serve cold and garnish as you wish.
You can give the dessert your signature by adding a splash of rosewater or vanilla essence. You can crush pistachio nuts for a savory topping popular in Israel!
