Jewish homes may be recognized by the small mezuzahs placed on the house’s right-hand doorpost. We are commanded to place a handwritten text on our doorframes, and as is the case with many commandments, it is noteworthy to beautify the action!
Adorn your doorposts with Dorit’s elegant laser-cut stainless steel mezuzah case. The base of the mezuzah is a colorful burgundy acrylic that adds a pop of energy as it shows through the steel.
The word “v’ahavta’ is written in Hebrew letters and it is the first part of the quintessential Hebrew prayer, The Shema, which recounts the commandment to affix a mezuzah to the doorpost of our homes.
It is also the first word in an important phrase, “V’ahvta lereyacha comecha” which means “You should love your neighbor as yourself.” It is a beautiful way to fulfil the mitzvah of the mezuzah.
The mezuzah is not intended for outdoor use.
