“This red pottage” Genesis 25:30
This tasty spice mixture was inspired by the red stew that the Jewish forefather, Jacob, cooked and used to purchase the right of firstborn from his brother Esau.
The spice mix is a flavorful blend of spices grown in the Judean Desert artfully blended with spices from the Far East that were carried through Israel by the spice caravans at the time that Jacob lived here.
The mixture is 100% natural blend of paprika, garlic, zatar, turmeric and other fragrant and flavorful spices.
The Red Spice is a perfect seasoning for roasted chicken and potatoes and for any Middle Eastern-style dish. Try it on your hummus for a pop of flavor or with olive for a bread dip.

The Red Spice
Yehuda Miller established his boutique business in the Jewish settlement of Bat Ayin, located in the rolling Judean hills. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of the plants that grow naturally in this region and has developed a reputation as a healer in the area.
He has spent his adult life learning about the naturally growing plants in Judea and finding ways to release their healing potential. Yehuda, a religious man, feels strongly that the healing properties of plants grown in this area are more pronounced because this part of the Holy Land is the region where prophecy took place and its influence on the land is still felt.
Each spice blend that he develops is born out of his love for cooking, and for the unique flavors available from the plants growing in this region.
