Description
The pomegranate is one of the seven species of the land of Israel described in the Bible. “For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land, a land with streams and springs and fountains issuing from plain and hill; a land of wheat, barley, of vines, figs and pomegranates; a land of olive trees and honey.” (Deut. 8:7-8)
Jewish tradition also teaches that the pomegranate symbolizes righteousness, knowledge, and wisdom because it is said to have 613 seeds. Each ruby red seed represents one of the 613 commandments given in the Bible.
Pomegranates are a beautiful way to represent the Holy land in your home. Dorit has decorated her practical challah board with pomegranates and the words, written in Hebrew, “For the honor of Shabbat and Yom Tov.” It is a lovely way to present your challah loaves at your Shabbat and holiday table.
The challah board is made from food-safe tempered glass, making it sturdy, easy to clean, and beautiful. The challah board sits on four small metal feet, seeming to float above the table.

Dorit Judaica
Dorit is a sabra, a native-born Israeli. She was raised in a religious Zionist home and is a practicing religious Jewish woman.
For Dorit, her Jewish faith is the wellspring of her art. She harvests ideas and concepts for creation from her religious life. She is inspired by religious texts, verses, prayers, and blessings and loves to incorporate them into her designs.
She loves creating products that will enhance the lives of her community of fans. Dorit began her career in commercial graphic design but found that her hobby of designing and creating Judaica was growing, and she decided to take a leap of faith and make her hobby her profession!
Dorit and her team utilize techniques and tools from graphics, traditional laser cutting, and patterned decorative work. She includes Jewish texts from her upbringing. She and her team create a unique and fascinating combination of shapes and hues, decorations, and letters old with new, traditional with modern. It is vital to Dorit that every product she makes is innovative, containing features or utilizing materials and techniques which have never been used before.
Her studio is located in Petach Tikva, adjacent to her home. She likes to create a family atmosphere for her dedicated team. Together they create, dream, work, and give thanks to God that they can use their gifts and talents in a meaningful way.
