Yehuda Alon is a Jewish scribe known as a “sofer stam” in Hebrew. Yehuda began his journey after completing his service in the Israeli Defence Forces when he took on a project to learn how to handwrite a Torah Scroll (Bible) as a gift for the merit of his parents. During the project, Yehuda became enchanted by the healing effect of the Hebrew letters.
Yehuda hand writes Bibles, mezuzot, and other Jewish ritual objects. He is committed to sharing his gift with others, and in addition to his commissioned work, he runs workshops and invites people to participate in creating their own items.
He believes that every person is represented by a letter in the Hebrew alphabet and that each person has their place in the Bible. He loves showing people the beauty of the letters and helping them connect to their place in the Bible.
