Odelia Shoham is a Jerusalem-based artist who creates inspired art using stones collected from the beaches of Israel.
Odelia began her career as a lawyer and pursued law for over two decades while engaging in artistic projects as a hobby. In midlife, Odelia found herself falling in love with stones. She would walk the beach and return home with beautiful stones of various shapes and colors.
She listened to her heart calling and began creating artwork with the stones. In a unique Israeli twist, Odelias last name Shoham is itself a stone, one of the stones found in the high priest’s breastplate!
As she developed her style, she boldly followed her heart and fulfilled her dream of creating art as a profession, not just a hobby. Odelia opened her studio, Odelia Stones, and began her journey as an artist.
All the stones for her art are collected individually throughout the Mediterranean coasts and in Eilat. She washes and seals the stones to retain their wet and smooth appearance. Each artwork is unique and carries the spirit of the Holy Land with it.
